Welcome to Accord, a communication platform designed to help couples communicate more effectively through AI-mediated translation. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Accord mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
The Service is operated by Investigate Health Publishing LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
Accord is a subscription-based mobile application that facilitates communication between romantic partners through AI-mediated message translation. The Service includes:
The Service is not a substitute for professional therapy, counseling, or medical treatment. If you or your partner are experiencing a mental health crisis, domestic violence, or thoughts of self-harm, please contact emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Each person must create their own individual account. Sharing account credentials is prohibited. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
The Service requires a paid subscription after a limited free trial experience. The current subscription price is $15.00 USD per month, billed monthly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Subscriptions require a minimum commitment of six (6) months. Early cancellation before the minimum commitment period does not entitle you to a refund of previously paid subscription fees.
Subscription payments are processed through Apple or Google, and are subject to their respective terms and billing policies. We do not directly process or store your payment information.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days advance notice. Price changes will not affect your current commitment period.
Your privacy is central to the design of Accord. For complete details on how we collect, use, and protect your information, please refer to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

The Service uses artificial intelligence to translate messages and analyze emotional content. You acknowledge that:
The Company is not responsible for misunderstandings that may arise from AI-translated content that you choose to approve and send.
Accord includes automated detection of potential crisis indicators including references to self-harm, suicide, or domestic violence. If crisis indicators are detected, the system may display relevant crisis resource information and will not send messages containing active threats of harm.
Accord is not an emergency service. If you believe you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
You may request deletion of your data at any time through the Settings section of the application. Upon receiving a deletion request:
Data deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, algorithms, and software, are the exclusive property of Investigate Health Publishing LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Content you submit through the Service (messages, reactions, profile data) remains your property. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process this content solely to provide the Service to you.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee any specific outcomes from the use of the Service, including improvement in relationship communication.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, INVESTIGATE HEALTH PUBLISHING LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Chester County, Pennsylvania. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings section of the application. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
